A New Year, A New Beginning: Your Guide to a Successful School Year

The start of a new school year is an exciting time filled with anticipation and possibilities. As the leaves begin to change color and the air becomes crisp, it’s the perfect time to prepare for a fresh start. Let’s explore some practical steps to help you and your child embark on a successful school year.

Set Clear Goals

Just like a ship needs a compass, students need clear goals to guide their journey. Encourage your child to set both academic and personal goals for the upcoming year. These goals can be big or small, but they should be specific and achievable.

  • Academic goals: Improve grades in a specific subject, master a new skill, or participate in a school club.
  • Personal goals: Develop stronger friendships, build confidence, or practice a new hobby.

Remember, goals should be SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.

Organize for Success

A well-organized student is a successful student! Create a dedicated study space, stock up on school supplies, and establish a daily routine. A little preparation goes a long way.

  • Designate a study space: Find a quiet and well-lit area where your child can focus on their studies.
  • Gather supplies: Make sure your child has all the necessary school supplies, including notebooks, pencils, and backpacks.
  • Create a schedule: Develop a daily or weekly routine that includes time for homework, extracurricular activities, and relaxation.

Seek God’s Guidance

As a Christian-based school, we believe that prayer and faith are essential components of a successful school year. Encourage your child to start each day with prayer, seeking God’s wisdom and guidance.

  • Daily devotion: Dedicate a few minutes each morning for quiet reflection and prayer.
  • Bible study: Explore relevant scripture passages together.
  • Gratitude journal: Encourage your child to express gratitude for blessings received.

By combining goal-setting, organization, and a strong spiritual foundation, you and your child can embark on a fulfilling and rewarding school year. Remember, every journey begins with a single step, and with God’s guidance, you can achieve great things!

Dear Parents, As the school year has come to a close, we hope that all our families are looking forward to the exciting summer activities that await their children. However, we kindly remind parents to ensure that their child continues working in their Paces, particularly those still working on finishing the school year. Any additional reading and math exercises will be beneficial in supporting your child's education. The IOWA test results should be completed soon. Once we receive the results, a copy, along with your child's report card will be sent. It's always important to stay on top of your child's education, and we hope these results will provide valuable insight into their academic growth. PLEASE NOTE: If there are any outstanding payments for the 2022-2023 school year, you must settle them immediately. Ensuring the timely settlement of outstanding payments is critical for maintaining a current account with our school. We urge parents to prioritize this matter to avoid any potential disruptions to their child's education. We will not be releasing any new Paces, allowing any further testing, or processing paperwork until all accounts are settled. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a balanced budget. Have a safe and blessed summer!
