More about us.

We're Lighthouse Christian Academy

For over 20 years, Lighthouse Christian Academy (LCA) has been a non-denominational school that uses the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum. ACE is a self-paced curriculum that allows students to learn at their own level.

We believe in the power of education to transform lives. Our philosophy is that students should be given Christian-based instruction that prepares them to excel in basic and lifetime skills while upholding Biblical standards and high moral conduct.

We know students learn at their own pace, and that pressure to keep up with the group can be counterproductive. So, LCA's teachers are committed to meeting the needs of each individual student and helping them reach their full potential throughout their program.

Our curriculum is based on the Bible and is designed to help students grow in their faith and understanding of God. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment where students can explore truths about God and His word, His character, and His wisdom.

LCA is committed to providing a high-quality education to all students, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or national origin. We do not discriminate in our admissions, financial aid, or other programs.

We are a private Christian school dedicated to inspiring excellence with a purpose

  • Biblical Principles

The ACE curriculum is infused with biblical principles, from scripture memory to wisdom principles. This helps students to develop a strong foundation in their faith and to see how the Bible applies to all areas of life.

  • Godly Character Training

Our program teaches students the importance of godly character. Students learn about the 90 character traits of Christ, as well as how to apply these traits in their own lives.

  • Mastery-Based Learning

Students progress through the material at their own pace. This allows students to learn at their own level and avoid boredom or frustration.

  • Built-In Reinforcements

This curriculum includes a built-in system of reinforcement that helps students to retain what they have learned. This system includes quizzes, tests, and other activities that help students to review and practice the material.

  • Individualized Education

The ACE program specializes in individual learning based on the student's own level of knowledge, which means that students can learn at their own pace and in their own way. This allows students to learn in a way that is most effective for them and allow them to move forward through core subjects more effectively.

  • Critical Thinking Skills

Students learn to think for themselves and to evaluate information critically. This teaches then to develop strong writing and communication skills throughout the program.

  • Post School Preparation

The ACE program is a comprehensive program that provides students with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in college, in their careers, and in their personal lives. The program is based on biblical principles and it emphasizes the development of godly character. The ACE program is a great choice for students who are looking for a high-quality education that will prepare them for success in all areas of life.

LCA Statement of Faith

  • We believe in the one true and living God.  He is holy in nature, eternal, omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent.  He created the universe and everything contained therein.

  • We believe in the Trinity of God:  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  Each person of the Godhead is revealed in the Scriptures.

  • We believe the Scriptures are God-breathed.  The Bible is the only God given authority written to man.  It is given “by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” II Timothy 3:16-17 (King James Version).

  • We believe Jesus to be the virgin born Son of God who lived a sinless life and willingly became flesh and dwelt among us.  “…who came from the Father full of grace and truth.”  John 1:14 says of Jesus, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”
  • We believe salvation is through the grace of God.  “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves.  It is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast.”  Ephesians 2:8-9.

  • We believe man is the need of salvation because “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”  Romans 3:23.  Through God’s perfect plan, salvation has come to man because of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  This salvation is a free gift to those who see their sinful condition and desire forgiveness.  “For whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13.

  • We believe that Godly living is something God desires from His children.  As stated in Titus 2:11 the grace God has given in salvation “teaches us to say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.”

  • We believe heaven is a real place for believers, just as hell is a real place for unbelievers.  In Luke 16:19-31, Jesus tells of two men who died.  The believer opened his eyes to rest and comfort with Father Abraham.  The unbeliever opened his eyes in hell where he was in torment.  This is why the lives of believers should be characterized by godliness and a desire “to be conformed to the image of His Son.”   Romans 8:29.
